Have questions about online therapy?

I’ve got answers!

Which online therapy platform do you use to see clients?

I use a secure, encrypted, HIPAA-compliant, paid version of Zoom. Getting started with Zoom is simple, which is why my clients and I have been happy with it. I can help you get started if you have any questions.

Does couples therapy work the same in online therapy as it does in person?

Absolutely. I have been providing online marriage counseling for months now (even before COVID-19). My clients and I have been pleased with how well it works. Because I have been doing this for a while, I’ve learned the best ways to make sure you’re getting the same experience.

Are you experienced with online therapy?

I am! I moved my practice from Massachusetts to North Carolina. I continued to see clients (and maintain licensure) in Massachusetts using Zoom. So fortunately I have been using this platform for several years. Additionally, I am comfortable and confident in being able to help you in online therapy.

Is online therapy secure?

I use the highest-tier version of Zoom it’s as secure as possible. In addition, it meets the rigorous standards for HIPAA compliance.

Can you provide online therapy to families? How does that work?

Yes, I can provide families online therapy and have found it to be beneficial for my clients. I move between whole family meetings, specific members, or working one-on-one. So, for this reason, Zoom works well and allows for that flexibility.

Can you help with online therapy in Massachusetts too?

YES! I continue to maintain my Massachusetts licensure and will continue seeing clients. I’m delighted to welcome clients from Massachusetts to my online therapy practice.

I’m here to help you get started in whatever way feels comfortable for you.

If this sounds like you, know that you aren’t alone. I want to share this article “Love in the Time of Virus”. It can provide you with guidance about navigating your relationship during this time.

When we feel afraid or uncertain (and that’s all of us right now) we can fall into certain patterns with our loved ones.

“These conditions we are in are asking us to upgrade our relational abilities…Maybe you haven’t been really intimate in your relationship since you learned about flattening the curve. Or maybe you had a fight about something trivial and then another tangle too soon after. Maybe your partner seems just out of your reach right now or even more out of reach than before.”
